In December, I signed up for the 2010 Debut Author Challenge, hosted by The Story Siren. I'd picked out a list of the debut YA and MG novels I was most looking forward to reading at the time, and was pretty psyched about taking part. But things change. Not the being psyched part, but my list. I still want to read all the books I originally included, but I've actually read some delicious debut novels this year that I hadn't even heard of way back when I signed up for the challenge.
So I'm going to use this post to keep track of the 2010 debut novels I've actually read and reviewed this year.
1. When I Was Joe - Keren David
2. Restoring Harmony - Joƫlle Anthony
3. Pretty Bad Things - C.J. Skuse
4. My So-Called Afterlife - Tamsyn Murray
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.
11.
12.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm noticing a trend here. And that trend is UK authors. Yay! The other good news is that at the rate I'm reading, I should be able to review more than 12 debut novels this year.
All in all, I'm loving this one.
