In My Mailbox (31)

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren.

Bought:

Are You There God? It's Me Margaret - Judy Blume

From my head: This is one of those milestone reads from my pre-teen years that I've always had a nostalgic kind of fondness for. This week I decided to reread it for Time Travel Tuesday, but since my old copy was nowhere to be found, I bought the updated version. If you're into the retro stuff, you can read my review here.

Received for review:

Shadows - Amy Meredith

From book cover: Fifteen-year-old Eve Evergold is cute, sassy and enjoying a busy social life. What she doesn't know yet is that someone close to her is an evil demon that only she has the supernatural power to defeat.

She needs to work out who it is - and fast. Because although there's something very attractive about the dark side... dating a demon? Pure hell.

This was a surprise arrival, which was especially exciting because I haven't heard anything about it before. It's the first in the Dark Touch series and I'm liking the sound of it. Thanks to Random House UK for this one.

I have such fond memories of reading Are You there God? It's Me Margaret. It was the first Judy Blume I read and I just fell in love with it (and reading!). Love the look of Shadow - it sounds fab (and I like the cover!)

Judy Blume should grace the bookshelves of girls everywhere, she is like the classical teen writer. I love her.

And the Dark Touch book looks amazing and that cover is just lush. I've never heard of this one before now, but that synopsis is sucking me in!

Eeek, can you believe it that I haven't read a single book by Judy Blume? *bows head in shame* In my defence, she wasn't huge at all in my country so it's not my fault I missed out, but I really should catch up, shouldn't it? :)

I love the sound of Shadows. The only book I've read by Judy Blume is Forever so maybe I should get my hands on some more of her work!
