In My Mailbox (45)

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren.

Another excellent week for me, with some amazing sounding books and gorgeous swag. All links go to Goodreads.com.

For review:
Song Quest - Katherine Roberts
This one is with me on loan, as part of the Get Song Quest Back In Print book tour organised by Becky at The Bookette. I'm especially psyched to read it since Becky clearly loves it so much.

Dear Dylan
- Siobhan Curham
This one was sent to me by the author for review, and I jumped at the chance to read it because the format sounds so fresh. It's written completely in emails between two characters, and I've never read a book like that before. I'll be reviewing this one later this week, but in the meantime you can find out more about the book and the author at So Many Books, So Little Time where Siobhan was interviewed this week.

Gift:
This week I was out shopping with my mum, and there was a buy-two-get-one-free offer on selected books, and she - get this - wanted to buy two books but could not find a third. I know, right? Meanwhile I was struggling to resist picking up any of the the approximately twenty books I was desperate to read and didn't have yet. So when my mum asked if I wanted to choose a third book to get free, this one flew into my hands quicker than you can say 'Woo-hoo'. Which is pretty quick.

Won:
The Sky Is Everywhere - Jandy Nelson
Is there anyone who doesn't love this book? I was lucky enough to win a copy *and* a cute tee *and* post it notes in a giveaway over at the awesome Bookalicious Ramblings, and I have to admit I was super excited. There was squealing.

So, what did everyone else get?

That tee is so adorable! I'm looking forward to TSIE. The first page grabbed me and I think it might be a between-the-dystopias read.

You are going to absolutely love The Sky Is Everywhere. It's just so amazing - and that t-shirt is so pretty! I can't decide what I felt about The Summer I Turned Pretty. I thought that I thought that it was a bit "meh" but my mind keeps going back to the characters and I'm going to re-read it. Look forward to hearing your thoughts...

Great mailbox! The Summer I Turned Pretty was really popular with some of my HS students at the end of the school year. I added the sequel to our next book order too. Happy reading.
