My mailbox, on the other hand, was full of assorted tasty treats. Woot! All links go to Goodreads.com.

For review:
Blood Ransom - Sophie McKenzie
I'm reading the first book in this series, Blood Ties, right now, so this makes me VERY happy. Thanks S&S!
Immortal Remains - Rook Hastings
Oh em gee, could I be more excited to read this?! I adored Nearly Departed, the first book in this amazing spooky series, so I can hardly wait to uh, turn all the lights on full and get someone to hold my hand while I read this sequel. Bring on the scary! Thanks HarperCollins for this one.
The Moon of Gomrath - Alan Garner
Weirdly, I have never read an Alan Garner book. This one has elves, which I love. Thanks again to HarperCollins!
The Enemy and The Dead - Charlie Higson
These books have zombieness. Have I mentioned I LOVE zombieness? I'm crazy excited to read them. Thanks to Puffin.

Bought:
Mockingjay - Suzanne Collins
Honestly, there's nothing original I can say about this one, is there? Everyone knows what it is, everyone has probably read it by now, and everyone will have an opinion. I might post about it, but then again I'm not sure anyone needs to read yet another review of the same book right now. Maybe later.
I Am Number Four - Pittacus Lore
Aliens. I love 'em. You know what else I love? Having a choice of covers. I went for the grown up cover with this one, because it's prettier and girlier than the YA one.
Gifted:
Assorted Awesome Swag!
Jenny from Wondrous Reads surprised me with a parcel of fantastic book swag this week, because she remembered how much I love this stuff. It's all lovely, and I'm especially thrilled with the bookmarks (including a signed Kay Cassidy one!) because just between us, I'm one of those people who turns the corners of pages down to keep my place. And now I have no excuse. Thanks Jenny!

Happy reading! I like the UK cover of I am number four. Have fun!
Great IMM this week I got a few of the ones you got too, I love our UK MockingJay so pretty! My IMM can be found here http://jessheartsbooks.blogspot.com/
i'm jealous - i can't wait for blood ransom
I really like the cover of "I am number four" *_* And "The Enemy" and "The Dead" both sound very interesting! And besides, I like zombies too ;=)
I can't wait to see what you think of Immortal Remains... I loved Nearly Departed.
I haven't read an Alan Garner book either. It seems like a crime against libraries or something.
I will be eagerly awaiting your verdict on I Am Number 4. I need to know if I should buy it!
Terrific book week.
Jenny is awesome, I cant believe you turn down pages *slaps hand*
Sya has lent me her copy of Immortal Remains - I too adored Nearly Departed - but this one sounds even scarier!!!!!
Awesome set of books you have there! I especially like Mockingjay the most from them all! I've started reading it, and it was - hands down; the best book to be made - EVER.
Lovely cover of the book by the way! I'm also interested in picking up I Am Number Four sometime soon - it seems like a promising read! Please let me know if it is otherwise!
Hope to hear more from you soon! Happy reading!
Giliene
Lots of pink and black covers... I like ;)
Sophie McKenzie's an amazing writer- enjoy!
I'm so glad you like all the swag. Now no more page-corner-turning for you!
You already know my thoughts on Mockingjay, and I'm glad you agree with me somewhat. I was worried it'd just be me against the Capitol ;)
I'm looking forward to reading Immortal Remains too, and I hope you enjoy Charlie Higson's books. I haven't read the new one yet, but he's a funny guy and a great writer.
Also love your cover of IAN4. I still prefer the YA one, but I can see why this one appeals too. It's kind of elegant, but still mysterious and alien-y. Cool.
Awesome books--I just finished Mockingjay. I've heard good things about I am Number Four, but am still undecided about it. I look forward to your review!
Woo, Mockingjay! I really want to read Immortal REmains and I am Number Four. Looking forward to seeing what you think of them.
Your books all match! They also all look wonderful. Happy reading!
Immortal Remains looks amazing! Plus, I do like your I Am Number Four cover. Nice haul this week, happy reading :).
i've seen number 4 around a lot! enjoy!
Oh, all great books! I'll have to look for Nearly Departed--love scary! I haven't read Mockingjay!:) I think I may be the only one who didn't buy it this week! I like that cover of I am Number Four!
Oh Mockingjay :D I have a different cover for I am Number Four, but I didn't have a choice about it - I would have picked this cover :) I'd really like to read The Enemy and the Dead, so I hope you enjoy it! Have fun reading, Lauren!
What a great week! The Enemy and The Dead are awesome - I'll be posting my reviews during my Week Of The Living Dead (which I've emailed you about) because then I have an excuse for posting only about zombies for a whole week. Immortal Remains is good but terrifying. I Am Number Four severely underwhelmed me, so I am really interested to see how you feel about it. My Mockingjay should arrive tomorrow, so am looking forward to that too!
Great Books! I can't wait to read I am Number Four and Stolen. Happy reading! :)
I did the same thing on Wednesday - I would have went on Tuesday but the stores were closed by the time I was out of work - to get Mockingjay. Sadly, I haven't started to read it.
I also really want to read I am Number Four; it looks amazing and very Roswell-esque.
Ooh, what a lot of great books there! I have I Am Number Four waiting for me, but ooh - I'm kind of dying to read the Rook Hastings books. They sounds really intriguing.
You turn down pages? *shudders*
